In general, Coming of Age Day is January 14th this year. In my home town, Coming of Age ceremony was held in January 13th.
Today, I wore red Furisode which is one of Kimono having long sleeve. I made up my face a little thicker than usual. My mother and younger sister said to me " who are you? You are like another person!" what did it mean...? It was rare opportunity to were Furisode. My grandfather whose hobby is taking pictures took a lot of my pictures. I felt I were a fashion model.
At the ceremony, I met many friends who went to same junior high school. Girls became beautiful women. I couldn't define who he or she was because I met them since we graduated from junior high.
After the ceremony, we had a drinking party with junior high school members. The girl on the right side of right picture planned the party. About 100 people joined it. I was surprised that some of friends had already worked in social, one boy had his child, one girl was a lover of one boy and so on.
Although we became adults and we are in several situation, we have been friends. I really want to get along with them and remember in youth (u_u*)

Miho,
When your mother ans sister asked "Who are you?", maybe they were really saying that you are a new person. After all, you are now considered an adult in Japanese culture, so maybe you are...
I think it is really interesting that you were able to get together with old friends from Jr. High. It is always fun to meet up with old friends like that.
One language note to add here is that you should be careful with using the word "lover" in English, as it is like using 愛人 in Japanese. I think you meant to say that the she was his "girlfriend"? Of course, if he is married to someone else, maybe she is his lover. ;^)
Nice post. I like the pictures.
Hi, Miho-san.
How are you?
I believe you're surprised to receive this message by a total stranger.
Yes, I have no acquaintance with you. However I know your aunt, Shizu-chan very well.
I guess you're a feather in her cap. She told me how you are smart and charming. And she let me know this blog and you are in Australia now
I'm going to visit your blog on and off and be your blog subscriber. I'm looking forward to your report from Australia.
May I post blog entry again?
Please enjoy your stay in Australia.

I'm sorry for posting a comment late.
I should be careful to use the words. I often see couples in Australia. I may ask new friends whether they have such a person. Thank you for giving me a good advice.
